| Sewing up ER business for Mercy Health Partners
Ironically, patients across the country find themselves enduring long waits
in “emergency” rooms. Mercy Health Partners – a major healthcare system in
Northwest Ohio – decided to do something about it at two of their hospitals.
With R/P’s help, they launched the 30 Minute ER Promise. ER patients were
guaranteed that they would see a doctor in 30 minutes or less, or they’d receive
a $15 gift card. R/P developed TV spots, outdoor boards, newspaper ads and a
public relations campaign that received extensive media coverage, including a
mention on Good Morning America. In only three months, the hospitals gained up
to 77% more ER visits and up to a 24% increase in
admissions. |
