Martha Vetter, Founder, CEO

Clients have looked to Martha Vetter throughout her career for meaningful ways to connect with their markets. She has consistently delivered, ultimately building a marketing public relations firm that creates dialogs with key audiences and drives results.

Martha has a wealth of experience in crafting marketing public relations campaigns that work. For the National Tree Trust, Martha was instrumental in creating the Branching Across America campaign. The program was designed to recognize the efforts of more than 200,000 volunteers and their roles in planting 10 million trees. The hook? Plant the state tree in the state capital of every state, all on the same day. Branching Across America received media coverage in each state but North Dakota and also snared the PRSA Silver Anvil Award of Excellence.

Martha has helped a long list of other clients score successes that were important to them. She has a depth of experience in health care marketing and PR. In fact, Martha started her career in public relations at a hospital in her hometown of Akron, Ohio. Since then, she has been the strategic lead for a variety of health care accounts including Hospice of Northwest Ohio, HCR Manor Care and Medical College of Ohio.

Organizations in the Arts, such as the Smithsonian Institution’s Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation, and the Toledo Museum of Art also have benefited from Martha’s marketing PR strategy and counsel.

Plus, Martha offers considerable experience in marketing building products. She has particular expertise in advertising and promoting windows, partnering with numerous brands representing the range of market niches and price points.

Client success has paralleled the growth of R/P. A co-founder of the firm in 1993, Martha’s leadership has been key in growing the company from its initial three employees to more than 30 today. Currently, R/P is ranked in the top one percent among all PR firms in the nation by PR Week magazine and in the top one percent of all U.S. advertising agencies by Advertising Age magazine.

Martha gladly shares her experience and insights with her industry and her community. She is the former Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Toledo Area Humane Society. She also periodically teaches PR at Bowling Green State University, she’s a member of the American Marketing Association, the Public Relations Society of America, the PRSA Counselor’s Academy, the USA Today small business panel, the BGSU Journalism Alumni Advisory Board and Entrepreneurship Board and the Spring Point Project Steering Committee. And she’s also been a three-year judge for the PRSA’s Silver Anvil Awards.

In 2005, Martha was inducted into the Journalism Hall of Fame at BGSU, her alma mater.
